I needed a Date of Death Appraisal so was researching appraisers in Sacramento. In checking their websites, very few even mentioned this type of appraisal. I found that SacTown Appraisals had the most information explaining the details of this specific type. I was impressed with not only a comprehensive explanation given, but that examples were included about the "stepped up basis" to help ensure understanding to those unfamiliar with it. I called Bart, who was on the road at the time, gave him some information, and he said he'd call me back in about an hour. He did...called no more than an hour later. He gave me a quote and said he could have the appraisal done by the end of the following week. He did. He had followed through and was true to his word, which isn't always the case in today's world. The appraisal was detailed and even included pictures and info of the comps he'd taken, as well as other pertinent information. He also included a copy of his current license, not just his license #. I did not have the pleasure of personally meeting Bart as I live out of the Sacramento area, but everything was done very professionally and efficiently though phone and email.
